Query for Bobbie,
My daughter and I had words recently. What we argued about is not important, but the fact that we haven't talked for two months is very upsetting to me.

Not Mommy Dearest
Advice for Mommy,
You just need to be the Mom. Be the parent. It's up to you to get things back to normal. Start the ball rolling with a phone call, a funny card or e-mail. Don't talk about the argument. Talk about happy, upbeat things. She'll likely be relieved that you made the first step and follow your lead.

No argument,
Bobbie
Query for Bobbie,
My wife complains that I watch too much television. I work hard all day. I need to unwind and watching the tube helps me relax. I admit I watch every night, probably about four hours every evening. Is that too much? I wish she would stop complaining.

TV Guy
Advice for Guy,
Every day? Four hours a day? Is that too much? Gee Guy, I don't know. Put yourself in her shoes. Would you like her to ignore you four hours every day? Try a compromise. Suggest a walk together after dinner. Ask her to choose a movie to watch with you and forego your regular TV picks. You should stop complaining about her complaints. Life is short. Learn to enjoy her and your marriage.

Compromise now,
Bobbie
Query for Bobbie,
I am a twenty year old man. I just started dating a woman who is sixteen years older. I really enjoy her company but, she has three kids, all with different fathers. The oldest child is an eighteen year old daughter. Am I being a snob if I pass on this relationahip?

Wanting To Be Nice
Advice for Nice,
Ashton and Demi aside, be nice to yourself. The age difference isn't the problem here, it's the extra baggage. You don't need these problems. Believe me please, this situation is full of trouble for you. You are a man yes, but a very young man. Use your time of youth to date and gradually find out what it is that you want in a mate. You don't have to be unkind, just tell her you aren't ready for parenting. If she's nice, she'll understand.

Traveling lighter,
Bobbie
